15 September, 1997 As long as I was discussing Iris' early form, I might as well trot out the revised one. Of course, you've seen it already in previous sketches, but note the radically different leg configuration, as well as its effect on her stance. The thigh dominates the form considerably more, while the calf has all but vanished. There's just enough there to separate the thigh from the foot, which now has to lift up on its toes. The digitigrade form is quite popular among critter fans, but when seen practically, is not especially comfortable for a biped.
